Code of Conduct
The following code of conduct is the standard of behaviour for all members of Jersey Aquatic Rescue Club (JARC). Adherence to the code will help the club provide a safe, enjoyable and successful environment for all members. The following code of conduct will be enforced. If you have any queries or concerns about the conduct of any member, please contact the Chairman in writing.
Rookie and Youth Code of Conduct
It is expected that you attend sessions on time and sign in appropriately, if you arrive late you must inform a member of the coaching team prior to participating in the session.
Due to waiting lists, consistent absences could result in losing your place within the club
Respect the right, dignity and worth of others
Abuse and harassment or any form of bullying will not be tolerated
All coaches, helpers, officials and chaperones are volunteers, it is expected that you always treat them and all members with respect.
Inappropriate use of language will not be tolerated
The use of drugs or alcohol will not be tolerated
Members must listen to all instructions given by their coach and attempt to perform all skills to the best of their ability.
All members must bring the required equipment to each session (minimum of costume, hat, goggles and for youth members water bottles).
Parents/Guardians Code of Conduct
All children must be signed into the session. There are instances where sessions have needed to be cancelled last minute, therefore do not leave the premises until your child has signed in.
If your child is late for a session there is the possibility that they may not be able to participate in that particular session, please remain on the premises until they have been accepted.

Remember that lifesaving is fun be encouraging, supportive and affirmative.
Never force your child to participate; the coaches are always on hand to provide guidance.

Be fair, considerable and honest in all dealings with others
Be professional in, and accept responsibility for your actions
Make a commitment to providing a quality service
Be aware of, and maintain adherence to the RLSS standards, rules, regulations and policies
Operate within the rules of lifesaving including national and international guidelines that govern RLSS
